We love the vibrant colours and softness of Manos del Urugay's Silk Blend (DK) and Wool
Clasica (chunky weight) yarns. Now there's an even better reason to choose this wool for your next
project. Manos del Uruguay has been admitted as a full member of the World Fair Trade Organization
(WFTO ), recognizing their commitment to improving the lives of women in rural Uruguay. Manos
Del Uruguay was founded by a group of women in 1968 to provide jobs for women in their own communities by
producing handicrafts using traditional methods. More than 40 years later, 17 Manos del Uruguay co-operatives
spin, dye, knit and produce finished garments for sale throughout the world.
