We now carry Eucalan no-rinse wash for handknits and other delicate garments. Eucalan contains lanolin, which is a natural conditioner and dust mite repellent, comes in four scents (natural, eucalyptus, lavender and grapefruit) and two sizes: 100 ml (£3.95) and 500 ml (£10.95). To use, add one teaspoon (5 ml) per gallon of tepid water, submerge your garment and gently squeeze to remove dirt, leave to soak for 15 minutes or more, and then drain water. Do not rinse. Gently roll your garment in a clean towel to remove excess water and dry flat.

New from Stylecraft is Signature Chunky, a soft blend of 50% wool and 50% acrylic available in 8 heathery shades, including purple and deep blue, which retails for £2.99. A range of ladies' and men's patterns are available from Stylecraft and Signature Chunky may also be used in any pattern that calls for a standard chunky tension of 14 sts to 10 cm/4 inches on 6 mm needles and is soft enough to knit into cozy scarves to keep the winter chill away.
